When visiting Zante our biggest tip would definitely be do not go all inclusive - eating the same food every night would be a true Greek Tragedy. Zante is home to a huge variety of different cuisines ranging from classic local Greek cuisine to American styled diners. It's difficult to top a traditional Greek dining experience which is more than just food - historical plate smashing and fire dancing is a real thing and it's a must do to fully experience the Greek culture.

Enjoying the local cuisine is one of the main parts of travelling abroad, you simply have to try Greek food! Our top recommendatins include Greek Gyros (Greek styled kebab), Souvlaki, Moussaka, Lamb Kleftiko, Stuffed Peppers, Calamari & more - trust us when we say you will not regret trying these new dishes!

PERI HEAVEN

We all know and love a classic cheeky Nando’s, try Zante’s very own Peri Heaven located on Kalimaki road, its a twist on the classic Nando’s with a range of spices and a menu you may recognise it’s the perfect place to stop for a chicken wrap and get a taste of home. Some say its better than the original Nando’s, but you’ll have to try it for yourself…

COOL PEPPERS

Cool Peppers is one of Zante’s favourite hot spots for food, with it having a beach view it is the perfect venue to celebrate a special occasion, take a friend or partner on a date or line your stomach with the massive 2m rack of ribs before hitting the strip! They offer everything from Sushi to Steak, Ribs to Greek Specials and with great service, this restaurant is not one to miss, whether its breakfast or dinner you’re looking for there is something for everyone!

THE ISLAND

The Island has something for everyone, from Mixed Grills to delicious Carbonaro’s to full English breakfasts, if that doesn’t sell it to you, everyone on the menu is at a reasonable price and they offer workers discount!

PANOS

Panos is the place to visit if you want to get a taste of traditional Greek food, from moussaka to gyros, it’s the whole Greek experience… be sure to get down early as its always packed as the food is to die for! If you haven’t tried souvlaki, you must make sure to dine here once during your stay!

BIG BOYS & BJS

Big Boys and BJ’s fast food take away sits in the middle of the Zante strip, its famous for its €1 pizza slices and both remain open until the early hours, whether it’s a post night out burger or you’re wanting to line your stomach before the night ahead, this is the place to go. You have got to visit The Island restaurant on Kalimaki road, the owners are lovely and the food is even better, whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner

CARPE DIEM

If you’re looking for a more boujee option, Carpe Diem at the bottom of the strip is a must, with delicious eggs benedict to …. Paired with a choice of wines, get dressed up and enjoy a fancy evening to line your stomach before hitting the strip for a night you probably will forget!
